Our Teachers
Deborah Schein - Director & Teacher
Mrs. Schein currently teaches the 3-Day and 2-Day classes and is in her first year as director of the
school. She has been a classroom teacher for 25 years and is working toward a doctorate in early
childhood education from Walden University. She most recently worked as Jewish family educator
at Park Preschool at The Park Synagogue in Pepper Pike. She holds a masters degree in
education from Cleveland State University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the
University of California at Santa Barbara. Mrs. Schein is an Early Childhood National Board
Certified Teacher and has spent time in the classroom as both a kindergarten and Montessori
teacher. She also serves as an adjunct instructor at the Siegal College of Jewish Studies, where
she teaches graduate courses in early childhood Jewish teacher education.
Becki Harper - Teacher
Mrs. Harper currently teaches the Pre-K class and has previously been part of the school as the
Young 3's Class teacher, substitute teacher, and parent helper. She was an elementary school
teacher and an instructor for gifted students for seven years and a school administrator for three
years. Mrs. Harper has her Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Lambuth University
and a Masters of Education in Administration and Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.
